StepStory is designed to minimize collection of your personal information. We do not sell your personal data.

Health Data

With your permission, StepStory reads your step count and flights climbed from Apple Health (HealthKit) to display your activity in the app, widget, and story cards you create.

StepStory does not write data to Apple Health or upload your HealthKit data to our servers.

Location and Weather

With your permission, StepStory uses your location to suggest a nearby place name and provide current weather for your story. Approximate coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo to retrieve weather information. StepStory does not store your location.

Photos and Sharing

Photos you select are processed on your device. StepStory only shares a story when you choose to share or copy it.
